Artistichic: Claire Basler, part 3

In the previous posts (part 2 and part 1) you could see the place where Claire exposed her paintings and the garden. Now it is time to enter the beautiful Château starting with the entrance where you can admire some of Claire’s beautiful paintings but also the floor, the door, the table with a splendid bouquet.

On the right there is a small room which was presumably an old kitchen. The rough walls, the tiles of the floor and again a bouquet makes this room natural, old but modern at the same time.

And then you go on and on…. visiting many bedrooms and admiring just about everything!

Artistichic: Claire Basler, part 1

I had already in this old post shared my admiration for the frenchic artist Claire Basler. At the beginning of the month I got the chance to see her work as there were open days in her beautiful Château, her living and working place.

The Château de Beauvoir is located in a small village called Echassières in the Auvergne area and it is absolutely worth visiting! The Château is hidden in the countryside and you have to drive on a small way passing through some beautiful Rhododendrons trees.

The first room you are entering is where Claire exposes some of her majestic paintings surrounded by big vases, hazelnut branches, small bouquets, peonies, roses, etc…. There are the painted flowers and the real flowers!

A Frenchic artist: Claire Basler

Finally it is Saturday! It is cold outside but the sun is shining…
While starting the day with coffee, jazz music on and surfing on Pinterest I have just discovered the French artist, Claire Basler and I totally fell in love with her work!

Claire draws and paints mostly flowers, trees in a very romantic way. She bought a Château, Le Château de Beauvoir, and renovated it in a French chic but very personal way. Her wall paintings in Le Château are majestic! Enjoy the pictures (from http://www.clairebasler.com)

As I like to draw and paint flowers and trees as well the work of Claire Basler is definitely a great source of inspiration for me. I have ordered her book and will keep an eye with her exhibitions…
