I am really enjoying this very long weekend ( since Thursday!!!!) as I have been able to do a lot of my favorite activites! I actually had the time to clean, to “rearrange” furniture at home, to train, to go for evening walks, to read. Yesterday I spent some time sorting out my photos. I am aware that I am not a professional photographer but I love to take pictures. I like to capture moments, beautiful things or places. I will after a while nostalgically look at my photos and remember great experiences with friends, family…. I had some of my favorite pictures printed out but I never got the time to hang them. It will be such a pity to keep them in a drawer!
- So I sorted out the pictures by theme, colours, places
Above are pictures from my trip in Gand in Belgium
Below pictures from a family trip in Andalusia, south of Spain
Pictures related to my favorite flowers: peonies…
2. I hung some of the pictures on the wall.
For the bedroom I chose a “vegetal” theme and “green+pink ” colors
3. For the kitchen I chose a “beach” theme with “blue+sand” colours.
I am pretty happy with the result!
I just want to share with you some pictures of this little summerhouse located in the town of Gilleleje, north of Copenhagen… isn’t charming?
(all pictures are from Danish magazine Alt Interiør)
In the mood for black inspiration…..
Even though it was cold and rainy I had a very good time in Copenhagen visiting friends, walking around the city without getting “hit” by a bike, admiring the colourful houses, drinking coffee… it was “hyggeligt”! ( cosy in Danish)
I went to the top of the Round tower (Rundtaarn) which was built as an observatory and which offers wonderful views over the city.
The “Kissing bench” at the top of the Round Tower
I visited the “Glyptotek”, an interesting museum with great collections of Danish and French arts…. but also masterpieces from Egyptian, Roman and Greek collections.
My favorite sculpture here below
I enjoyed a good cup of coffee at the Café of the Glyptotek….
…. and relaxed for a while in the Winter Garden
I went to my favorite pizza place in Copenhagen which is Tino’s located in the area called “Christianshavn”. Buy a pizza there and find a spot next to the canals…and it will be “hyggeligt”!
Thanks for this time Copenhagen…. see you soon hopefully!
Giverny is a small village located in the beautiful area of Normandy and it is so charming! It is very well-known because of Monet who lived there. Many other impressionist artists were attracted by the landscapes and the atmosphere as well. You can visit the property of Monet by stepping into the colourful house and by wandering around the magnificent gardens.
Then you can go around the village and admire all the typical houses….
You can stop by the little “Antiquités” shop….
You can get a very good ice-cream…
And you have to stop at the Hotel Baudy (where many impressionist painters used to gather) and drink a glas of wine, eat an “omelette” and visit their beautiful garden hidden behind the restaurant…
Take a moment to sit on a bench and enjoy the nature, the calm and the atmosphere of the place…
And when leaving you can admire the beautiful huge bamboos on the side of the road!
